THE WINE GARDEN VISUAL IDENTITY

The Wine Garden began as a dream, sparked by a long-time wine lover ready for a change of pace. Leaving behind her previous career, the client set out to create a cozy, curated retail space for wine and cheese in the city she holds dear.

With such a heartfelt vision, she knew she needed someone who could bring the brand to life visually. From our first meeting, we hit it off and decided to work together. The only specific request was to include a firefly in the logo. What seemed like a small detail at first became the spark that shaped the entire visual identity.

A REQUEST THAT SHAPED THE IDENTITY

The client specifically requested that a dragonfly be included in the visual identity. At first, I was hesitant. I didn’t want to commit to a direction that might not serve the brand. But through exploration, I found a way to incorporate the dragonfly in a way that felt intentional and fitting.

While studying reference images, I noticed that dragonfly wings sometimes resemble mosaics or stained glass. That detail stood out as a potential design element. It was visually distinctive and directly connected to the logo. After some experimentation, it evolved into a flexible pattern that could be used throughout the brand identity.

THE OUTCOME

The visual identity for The Wine Garden helped bring a new and inviting space to life for wine and cheese lovers in the local community. What began as a collection of ideas and inspiration has become a welcoming retail environment that inspires, comforts, and offers a memorable experience. It is a place where people can explore curated wines and cheeses in a setting designed to feel both thoughtful and unique.
